The Role We’re looking for a highly motivated Senior Graphic Designer with a sharp aesthetic, strong conceptual thinking, and a strategic mindset. You’ll help shape and elevate creative across Merivale’s brand and our portfolio of iconic venues — driving work that cuts through, inspires our guests, and delivers against business and partner outcomes. As part of the Marketing & Creative team and reporting to the Head of Brand, you’ll collaborate with stakeholders across the business to bring guest-first ideas to life. This is one of the most exciting, high-impact creative roles in the company. What You’ll Do Produce unique, standout creative for Merivale’s venues, brands, and guest campaigns. Respond to briefs and develop creative concepts for venue communications, guest campaigns, and partner activations across multiple channels. Champion and uphold the Merivale brand and venue brand guidelines, ensuring consistency and excellence across all creative outputs. Conceptualise and develop campaigns, activations, and tactical initiatives, bringing fresh thinking and strong ideas to every brief. Lead projects end-to-end, from concept to finished art and rollout — often managing multiple projects simultaneously. Deliver highly creative assets that resonate with both internal and external audiences, including staff and recruitment communications. Guide creative decisions with strong design rationale, trend insights, and strategic understanding. Present ideas to stakeholders, gaining buy-in and shaping creative direction. Collaborate closely with the broader business — marketing, digital, styling, sales & events, and venue operations. What You Bring Around 5 years’ experience in a creative studio or agency (3 at minimum). Proven excellence in designing and delivering campaigns, branding, and integrated creative. A strong, elevated portfolio showcasing aesthetic, craft, and conceptual thinking. Experience working with hospitality, lifestyle, retail, or fashion brands (highly valued). Exceptional skills in typography, layout, and composition. Meticulous attention to detail, a passion for creativity, and a love of design. A curious, strategic thinker who sees both the details and the bigger brand picture. A collaborative, team-first approach — open, communicative, and energised by sharing ideas. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite; experience with Figma or Sketch is a plus. Skills in motion, animation, or illustration are a bonus. A willingness to go all in — we work end-to-end, from ideation to rollout. Merivale Employee Benefits 25% staff discount across 90 Merivale venues.
